'END OF DAYS'
Oil on Belgian Linen 16 by 24"
With so few tigers remaining on
Earth every sunset seems to
bring us closer to their final day.
To further symbolize what is
happening to this iconic
creature, the birds flying from
the scene are painted in the
missing man formation used
when military aircraft salute a
fallen comrade. Here perhaps,
the formation salutes the tiger
species already lost to us: The
Caspian, Javan and Bali Tigers.

'Eye of the Storm'
Siberian Tiger in pastel

A beautiful and Powerful male
Amur Tiger. Symbol of all that is
wild and free, and yet unknown
to him, he is in the eye of a man
made storm that will determine
his fate.
I truly hope we have the wisdom
to let him live.
FALLING STAR - Pastel
It's difficult for me to sketch a tiger these
days without thinking of their plight.
In this quick sketch, started as a tuition
study, I have included a shooting star in
the night sky.
Falling stars were seen as omens by the
ancients. Sometimes being a symbol of
rebirth and new life.
You are supposed to make a wish when
you see one.
This is a rare female Amur tiger, and she
needs all the wishes she can get.
