banks of the great Zambezi river. The mountains of Africa's great rift valley can be seen in the
distance.
Ruckomechi offers a great combination of scenic beauty and excellent game viewing. Aquatic
species such as hippo and crocodile appear in abundance, and the river attracts large numbers of
elephant and buffalo. The Ruckomechi area is also home to the valleys highest concentration of
predators.
Here I have pictured a leopard, very typical of the area, with his eye on a chance meal that has
caught his attention.
