The Siberian Taiga is the largest forest region on Earth, covering over 1900 million acres. Here in this vast, and often frozen Wilderness dominated by birch, pine and Siberian larch trees, lives the worlds largest and most magnificent big cat - the Siberian or Amur Tiger. These tigers grow up to 13 feet in length and weigh up to 700 lbs.
It is estimated that only 350 to 450 of these magnificent creatures remain in the wild. They live in the Southeast corner of Russia in the Sikhote-Alin mountain range, east of the Amur river. They are considered critically endangered.
This painting was auctioned by Christies, South Kensington, London. It has become my most successful limited edition print to date and I can highly recommend the full size deluxe canvas edition. Please contact me for details.

My painting was recently featured in this book dedicated to tiger conservation. The book shows how the tiger has been painted by Artists throughout history.
