Lions chasing Zebra, the classic African scene. I did this painting way back in 1992 and have never
displayed it until now. My daughter always wanted it on her bedroom wall and so that's where it stayed.
Where do your sympathies lie when you look at this painting? Are you hoping the zebra will escape or
that the lions will catch her? Both are running for their lives, not just the zebra. This is the reality of life
governed by evolution. Where one animal succeeds another falls, there is no happy ending in the natural
world, just balance.
