To the left you will see how I started
this painting. From the very beginning I
was concentrating upon the light
catching the fur and contrasting against
the dark background.
This lion portrait was another that
started life as a training exercise at one
of my private tutorials. After the lesson
I looked at the picture on the left and
decided 'I'll finish this one'
The original work is now sold, but it
makes a lovely little print. Please
